Family asks for prayers for tiny baby

Posted by Joseph on 28 October, 2014

Adilynn Renne was born weighing less than a pound and was barely bigger than a mobile phone when she was born four months early.

Adilynn has had pneumonia twice and a blood infection and this tiny baby is now on life support.

Her mother says the whole situation took her by surprise.

“It really scared me,” Chelsea Gregory says. “I was like, ‘how is she going to make it?'”

“Its making her heart work extra hard, her heart is trying to give out on her so they are having to give her medicine for it. Tons of medicines,” Gregory says.

Every little step that she makes is a huge accomplishment for the family.

Adilynn’s mom says her baby is a fighter but is asking everyone to pray for them.

“Honestly, there’s nothing more in this world that means more than just one person praying,” Gregory says.

Last month, Adilynn was moved from Forsyth Medical Center to Brenner Children’s Hospital. Adilynn was one of the smallest babies ever born at Forsyth Medical Center.

For the project, they try to capture every day in the life of a preemie’s NICU stay to show the progress of their growth from day 1 until they are safely home with their parents.
